Research is a necessary evil for all good writing. Without it the writing would be nothing more than a lot of opinions, self experiences,and of course just plain bolona. The evil part is the time it take and the reading/filtering of information to be able to produce an academic style writing that is suitable for that class.
Citation is a must. You can not simply copy everythin you find and take credit for it. Everyone deserves their own credit for their own work and we, as college students must learn and love in text citation as well as resource citation to deliver a well thought out, well written paper for this and other classes.
Plagarisim is simple! DON'T DO IT!!!This is where it is a learning curve and opportunity for me. I write for a local newspaper as well and the last thing I want to happen is someone to call my editor and report me for plagarism. That would be just as embarressing as getting a slap on the wrist or expulsion from Kaplan.
